Workshops can enquire about individual units or several listed units. Give each original and donor a separate reference, and attach the relevant diagnosis to that pair. We agree responsibility for diagnosis, device work and vehicle commissioning. Listed engine ECU cloning and virginisation services have no capacity-based quantity limit; compatibility and turnaround are still agreed per order.

Mark the original unit and the replacement unit separately and give both the same order reference. Units that look alike can only be assigned reliably if they are labelled before packing.
Information we need per order
- Photos of the labels of all units (manufacturer, hardware and software numbers)
- Vehicle, model year and VIN
- Fault-code report and a description of the fault
- Whether the original unit still communicates
- Which steps in the vehicle your workshop carries out itself
Check the hardware before buying a replacement
For a clone, the replacement unit must have the same hardware number as the original: output stages, pin assignment and sensor inputs differ between hardware versions even when the labels look similar. The software version of the replacement is overwritten. For virginisation, we check by the part numbers whether the used unit suits the target vehicle.
Agree the vehicle-side steps
Installation, coding, immobiliser adaptation and commissioning in the vehicle are only part of the order if this has been agreed. Settle before shipment who carries out these steps. Mercedes ABS/ESP, airbag/SRS and SAM are commissioned only with the vehicle at our workshop.
