Control units
The unit families we assess – engine, transmission, vehicle authorisation and airbag – and how to read the label of your unit.

Engine control units come from manufacturers such as Bosch (EDC and MD1 for diesel, ME, MED and MG1 for petrol), Continental/Siemens (SID, PCR, Simos), Delphi, Denso and Magneti Marelli. Newer generations are often more strongly protected. Whether your unit is listed, and with which status, is shown by the ECU check.
Transmission control units
These include VAG DSG mechatronic units and control units for automatic transmissions from manufacturers such as ZF and Aisin. Data and replacement unit must match the exact gearbox.
Vehicle authorisation
Mercedes EIS/EZS and BMW CAS, FEM and BDC belong to the immobiliser system. They are separate units with their own procedures – support for an engine control unit does not cover them.
Airbag and other units
Airbag control units, instrument clusters and body modules are assessed individually. For Mercedes airbag, ABS and SAM, commissioning takes place only with the vehicle here.
How to read the label
Note the manufacturer, the type designation, the part number and, if present, the hardware and software numbers. A clear photo of the label is the most reliable basis for our assessment.
Check your ECU
The exact ECU entry is decisive. Vehicle series, brand names and examples are not blanket approval. Unconfirmed entries remain subject to assessment.

- Vehicle model, year and target vehicle VIN if available
- Original and donor part numbers and hardware identifiers
- Symptoms, fault codes and previous work
- Country, return postcode and whether you are a workshop
