The SRS control unit permanently stores every crash event. Even if no airbags deployed, deceleration data are written — and the unit continues to report a fault. We clear all crash data and fault codes at chip level.
For a physically damaged SRS control unit (water damage, short-circuit, mechanical damage): we read out the original data and transfer them onto an identical replacement SRS unit. The vehicle configuration is preserved.
For hardware faults at PCB level (capacitors, solder joints, MOSFETs): direct repair. Common with water damage or ageing components on the board.

Remove the SRS control unit (disconnect the plug, undo the screws — in most vehicles located under the passenger seat or in the centre tunnel). Pack it in anti-static film and ship it safely. Shipping label on request.
Crash data clearing: all stored accident data are removed from the SRS control unit — the unit is then fully functional again. Cloning: for physically damaged units we transfer the data onto a matching replacement SRS unit.
We verify that the crash data have been completely cleared and that no fault codes remain. You receive a written report documenting the condition before and after the work.

We only clear crash data from SRS control units for vehicles that are undergoing a proper repair after an accident. A cleared SRS control unit does not automatically restore driving safety.
After refitting the reset control unit, all deployed restraint systems (airbags, belt tensioners) must be replaced and a full SRS system inspection must be carried out by a qualified workshop.
