Remove the EZS (instructions on request), wrap it in anti-static film and pack it firmly. Ship via DHL/Hermes/DPD to our workshop address. On request we send a shipping label.
After arrival we perform a full EZS diagnosis with the original Mercedes diagnostic system. Component status, data memory integrity, immobiliser status — everything verified before we clone.
All EZS data regions (transponder, ELV coupling, key roles, VIN binding) are transferred onto an identical, tested replacement EZS. Function test with the original Mercedes diagnostic system before return shipment.

Key inserted, but no engine start. Display reads "key not recognised" or remains blank. Often: transponder read error in the EZS due to corrosion.
After a battery change or deep discharge the vehicle reports an active immobiliser. EZS data loss caused by a voltage drop — common on older W211 and W906.
Ingressing water (seal, footwell) corrodes the EZS PCB. Often not visible from the outside — the original Mercedes diagnostic system shows communication errors in the EZS protocol.
Vehicle does not react to key movements at all. Steering lock (ELV) blocks or fails to release. Often a combined EZS/ELV issue.

Yes. The EZS is accessible in the steering column area on most Mercedes series and can be removed with basic mechanical skills. On request we send a series-specific removal guide. Alternatively: removal and refitting at our workshop in Hardegsen.
If all keys are lost, the EZS data memory can no longer be read without a key — cloning is then not possible. In this case re-coding via the original Mercedes diagnostic system is required, which must be carried out in the vehicle. Please contact us beforehand.
After arrival at our workshop: 2–4 working days of processing time. Return shipment via DHL Express: 1 working day. Total from your shipment: approx. 4–7 working days. For urgent cases: express handling possible on request.
No. During EZS cloning all key transponder data are fully transferred onto the replacement EZS. All your existing keys keep working after refitting — no re-learning procedure required.
Yes. We grant a 12-month warranty on the cloning function for every cloned EZS unit. If the unit does not allow a correct start after refitting, we analyse the issue free of charge and resolve the findings.
